Word Riot
riot n. 1. A wild or turbulent disturbance created by a large number of people. True to its name, the work in Word Riot spins like a toy top in its last few moments. The monthly journal showcases CNF, flash fiction, short stories, poetry, and novel excerpts with frequent neo-surrealist and absurdist turns that communicate balance skewed with a large dose of chaos. The work is occasionally obscure, yet the ‘Stretching Forms’ section in particular is the man shouting with the largest sign, reminding us that life thrives in the threshold where the water is opaque.
